We will arrange the Apostille or Superlegalisation / Embassy Attestation of your Czech criminal record extract – including notary services and certified translations. From document issuance to final authentication by authorities and embassies, we handle the entire process for you.
The criminal record extract must be issued either by a court register office or a notary (please inform the notary that the document will be used abroad).
A criminal record extract issued by Czech Post (Czech Point) cannot be apostilled or superlegalised and is valid only within the Czech Republic.
If you request your criminal record extract from a municipal office, please make sure that the official who signs it has a registered signature specimen with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – otherwise, the Apostille cannot be issued.
In most cases, a certified (sworn) translation of the document into the language of the destination country will be required. For Superlegalisation / Embassy Attestation, documents must be translated into English or the official language of the destination country. Some countries also require Superlegalisation / Embassy Attestation of the translation itself. We can arrange this certified translation for you as well.
An Apostille can be issued on both the original document and a notarised copy:
An Apostille can be issued without translation into the destination language.
Superlegalisation / Embassy Attestation can be issued only on the original document.
The document must be translated into English or the official language of the destination country. Some countries require Superlegalisation / Embassy Attestation of the certified translation as well.
Certified translations are part of most apostille or superlegalisation cases.
As a translation agency, we naturally provide certified (official) translations into all major world languages as part of our service.
We will take care of certified copies of your documents, or arrange for signature verification with our notary.
We can also convert electronic documents into physical form and obtain official extracts on your behalf — such as criminal record extracts or entries from the Commercial Register.
We will represent you at the authorities to obtain vital records or, for example, a criminal record extract, based on a certified power of attorney. This power of attorney can be arranged either at a Czech POINT office or at a Czech embassy or consulate abroad.
Yes, we cooperate with a notary and can arrange the issuance of a criminal record extract. You must either visit the notary in person or send us a certified power of attorney authorising us to obtain it for you. Once issued, we will arrange the Apostille for you.
For Apostille – translation is not required, but to use the document abroad, an official certified translation is usually needed.
For Superlegalisation / Embassy Attestation – a certified translation into English or the official language of the destination country is required.
For Apostille – no power of attorney is required.
For Superlegalisation / Embassy Attestation – some embassies (e.g. Thailand) require a power of attorney authorising us to act on your behalf.
We will send you a template for this purpose; your signature can be certified by our notary or at any Czech Post office.
